Splicing and rigging is often a fundamental part of any rope supply. Splicing ropes enables the user to create a termination that will allow them to connect the rope to a piece of hardware such as a winch. In many applications splicing should be considered over alternative methods such as knotting, as splicing only effects 10% of the break load.
At Island Ropes, we have a team of splicers based at our workshop in Ledbury, Herefordshire. We have the capability to splice all 12-strand, double braid, 3-strand and 8-plait rope with any of necessary hardware such as hooks, thimbles and shackles if they are needed.
With an in-house splicing & rigging team, our ropes can be fully rigged and sent direct from our premises normally within two working days depending on the volume.
