We only choose to work with rope manufacturers that can produce quality rope time after time made from first rate quality yarns. Our in-house quality systems allow for batch traceability all the way to the yarn production.
Our investment in higher than normal stock levels enable us to offer lead times of days rather than weeks offered by other rope companies. By investing in an in-house rigging team, we can even splice and despatch ropes the same day.
Our sales staff are from the rope industry and have a sound knowledge of both the product and the market sectors. We are happy to discuss your requirements over the telephone, electronically or come to visit you at your offices or site. We have the back-up of some our Europe’s’ largest and finest manufacturers and their technical teams.
We understand the need of keeping the costs of rope supply within budget. We will always strive to offer you the most cost effective solution and wherever possible offer you several options to choose from based on cost, breaking load, elongation or life span. Island Ropes & Rigging was created by Jim Martin and Steve Hayman who met back in 2011. Jim was the Director of a lifting company with multiple sites and depots around South Wales, the South West and South of England. At the time Steve was working for one of the UK’s largest rope manufacturers specialising in the working at height, commercial marine, small cord and the winching and lifting market sectors. They came to realise that only offering rope from one manufacturer can hamper the customer and their idea was born to create a company whereby working with a selection of Europe’s largest and leading manufacturers the customer could be provided with a choice of products suitable for their application.
